HI Hostels

Everybody can become a hosteler and use HI hostel services while traveling. We accept everyone, regardless of your age, gender, race or ethnic origin, religion or beliefs, disabilities or sexual orientation.

Hostels are ideal places for individual travelers, families with children and various groups (associations, schools, sports club, etc.). Forget prejudices about hostels. Today hostels are comfortable, modern, safe and fun with high-standard facilities where you will get valuable experience and good service for less money.

Hostels provide professional service in a friendly atmosphere. Our employees and volunteers love to travel and will give you the maximum to make your stay in the hostel and the destination visited enjoyable.

The Croatian Youth Hostel (CYHA) exists for more than 60 years and has continually invested in efforts to raise standards in its hostels.

CYHA own hostels in Zagreb, Pula, Rijeka, Veli Lošinj, Zadar, Dubrovnik and Osijek while hostels  “Samobor” in Samobor, “Sunce” in Stari Grad on the island of Hvar, “Link” in Loran are our partner hostels.

All CYHA hostels meet international IYHF hostels (International Youth Hostel Federation).

This means that in our hostels you can rely on a top level of service:

• Welcome – Hostels are open to everyone and our friendly staff is ready to provide you with useful information during your stay, help you find and book accommodation in other cities / hostels.
• Comfort – Each hostel will welcome you with a quality bed and linens. Rooms are mostly multiple bedrooms with a shared bathroom, but there are also a number of private double rooms with a private bathroom. Some hostels are adapted to meet the needs of people with disabilities.
• Cleanliness – In each of our hostels we give maximum attention to cleanliness as it is the basic condition for a healthy and high quality guest stay.
• Security – Considering that the most common hostel users are young, many of whom travel for the first time, we pay special attention to the security of all guests. You can leave your valuable things at the reception when leaving the hostel.
• Privacy – sharing multiple bedrooms with travelers from other countries give you the opportunity to exchange experiences and gain new friendships, while keeping your privacy at the same time.
