Hi Hostel Stara pekara is located in Osijek, in the old part of town – the baroque Tvrđa, near the Osijek promenade, along the river Drava, in the newly renovated building of the former Austro-Hungarian military bakery from built in mid XVIII century. In the building Stara pekara (english: Old Bakery) you will still see original parts of the bakery and a number of preserved and protected drawings and labels done by soldiers of the time. . The hostel has opened in May 2021. as part of the Educational and informational youth tourist center. The center now hosts a hostel, restaurant, fully equipped seminar rooms and a conference hall, head offices of different Youth NGO’s and a Museum of Personal Stories.
The hostel consists of a total of 54 beds in 15 rooms, each room with its own bathroom. The restaurant provides all meals for hostel guests and also offers daily menus. In the back yard of the Stara pekara building you can enjoy siting on a terrace enjoying your favorite drink. , where there is a possibility of full board; coffee bar and terrace, 1 conference hall with a capacity of 145 people, equipped with all equipment and 2 seminar rooms with a capacity of 30 people; and space for socializing, with TV.

The hostel is located 15 minutes from the city center, which can be reached by a promenade along the Drava, a walk along the Art Nouveau street of the European Avenue, or by a 5 minute tram ride.

15 km from Osijek, there is the oldest nature park in Croatia, Kopački rit, is an indispensable part of a tour of the eastern part of Slavonia.
